Application tips

Your application is the key to a career change. It's all your future employer has to go on to begin with. So it's important that your application, whether online or by post, gives a clear and convincing picture of your skills, personality and career expectations.

The cover letter:

• The first impression counts! A personal cover letter is an opportunity to show us what you have to offer and to arouse our interest. Use this opportunity and tell us why you're applying and what's important to you in your career.
• Use the cover letter to briefly give us the most important information. Which job are you applying for? Why are you interested in this position? What have you done so far?
• Refer to all the key requirements in the job advertisement.
• Make it clear in your cover letter how Bilfinger Berger AG would benefit from having you as a new employee.

The CV:

• Make sure that the data in your CV is up-to-date.
• The CV should have a clear structure, be easy to read and be well presented. But make sure too that we don't just get the facts about your training and professional experience but also an impression of you as a person.

Online application:

• Fill in as many fields as possible when applying on-line, as the more accurate a picture we get of you, the better we can assess whether you would be right for our company.
• Please note that we can only accept attachments in pdf-format which are no larger than 5 MB.

Applying by e-mail:

• If you send us an application by e-mail, please put your attachments together into one pdf-file and make sure that your application is complete - cover letter, CV, the main references and a photo of yourself should all be included.

Applying by post:

• Your application should be done well. If you apply by post you should make sure that your application portfolio is presentable and complete - cover letter, CV, main references and a photo should all be included.
• Please note that we prefer online applications as this type of application is clearer, more transparent and less time-consuming for both you and us.
